EDIRAI is an algorithm to be used exclusively by physicians registered on the platform.
Its purpose is to facilitate the process for making diagnostic hypotheses in cases of joint pain. Pfizer does not store the data entered, so it is hold harmless for uploading information and obtaining the corresponding diagnostic hypothesis. Pfizer Gulf FZ LLC (hereinafter referred to as “PFIZER”) offers through this web page, located at www.EDIRAI-Leb.com (hereinafter referred to as “the Site”) educational and informational content, addressed solely and exclusively to prescribing healthcare professionals. This uses an algorithm that helps guiding the diagnosis process for joint pain, was created by Daniel Gerardo Fernández Ávila, MD. PhD, internist, rheumatologist and clinical epidemiologist, whose scientific evidence is in the publications available in the Site (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32840702/ and  https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32200425/), and it aims to help healthcare professionals in the diagnostic approach of patients with joint pain. At the same time, the Site offers scientific contents related to advances in the diagnosis of rheumatic diseases (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”).

These Terms and Conditions of Use are legally binding to access and use of the Content of the Services.

Likewise, PFIZER reserves the right to: include or not to include any content; keep in the web page the information for the time deemed relevant; modify at any time and for any cause the terms and conditions of the User Participation; keep the record and storage of the information released in the site for assessment, analysis or report, as applicable.

Use of “Cookies”

PFIZER will use “cookies” on its web page to storage your preferences to help you customize your experience online. A cookie is a text file that is recorded in your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to execute programs or deliver computer viruses to your PC. Cookies are assigned to the User by the server in a one-to-one relationship and can only be red by a domain member server that the cookie issued for the User.

One of the main advantages of cookies is that they save time and customize Services. The goal of a cookie is to inform the web server that the User has come back to a specific page and the preferences. For example, when you customize pages, or when you register to the Services, the recorded cookie allows PFIZER´s web server retrieve your specific information in the subsequent visits. This simplifies the process to register your personal information and allows to know your preferences to improve the Services. 

The user has the possibility to accept or reject the cookies. However, PFIZER will use Adobe Omniture to measure hits and interactions and no cookies or personal data registered by the user in the Services will be associated. This functionality is gotten through a JavaScript program that is installed in the native code of the App or Site. With the metrics obtained we aim to know the behavior of the Users within the Services with the objective to know the preferences and performance of the Services functionalities and, in this way, to improve the development of them.

PFIZER is committed to the protection of privacy of personal information of Services’ Users and it will disclose this information at the express request of monitoring and control bodies and authorities that have the legal capacity to request it. Users enter their information voluntarily and considering the Services characteristics, at their own risk, so they must be of legal age and residents of Lebanon Individuals who complete this registration form accept to include their data to data bases of PFIZER, its headquarters, affiliates or national or international subsidiaries. Users have the right to refrain from answering about sensitive data belonging to children and adolescents. VI.    TERMINATION

PFIZER is not obliged to provide the Services.  All the licenses and other rights corresponding to the User by means of this Terms and Conditions of Use shall be terminated or immediately ceased when PFIZER suspends or terminates the provision of Services. PFIZER shall not be liable to the User or any third party for the suspension or termination of the Services or the termination of their use of the Services. In the event of suspension or termination, any content, information, or Service shall not longer be accessible.

Any suspension, termination or cancellation will not affect your obligations to PFIZER under these Terms and Conditions of Use (included but not limited to the rights of intellectual property, indemnification, limitation of liability),  which by their sense and context are intended to survive such suspension, termination, or cancellation of Services.

VII.    CONFLICT RESOLUTION

PFIZER and each one of our related subsidiaries, and authorized assignees agree, for all disputes and claims arising from or in connection with these Terms and Conditions of Use, or the use of the Services, to definitely solve them by a court of arbitration according the following regulations: a) The court shall have its office in Bogota D.C., Colombia and shall be managed by the Conciliation and Arbitration Center of Chamber of Commerce of Bogota (“CCB”). b) The court shall consist of three (3) Colombian arbiters. The arbiters shall be assigned by mutual agreement by the Parties and in the absence of agreement by the CCB. c) The arbitration shall be conducted according to the regulations provided for the purposes of Colombian Law, d) Award must be given based on current laws. e) CCB tariffs shall be applicable to the payment of the costs, expenses and fees that requires the integration and functioning of the Court of Arbitration.

VIII.    APPLICABLE LAW 

This Terms and Conditions of Use of Services agreement shall be governed by the laws of Lebanon. Any legal action or proceeding related to the Services shall be submitted in accordance with the subsection aforementioned: VII CONFLICT RESOLUTION.
